Winnie The Pooh Chalkboard Cake

I'm extremely proud of this creation and am so excited to share it with everyone. The cake was to celebrate the life of a child who struggles with a rare genetic disorder called Achondroplasia. I was so honored and delighted to be chosen to make it for this delightful child and her family.

The different tiers of cake were carrot cake with cream cheese filling, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, Nutella chocolate with mocha buttercream, smores with chocolate buttercream, and oreo cookie with praline buttercream. 

All of the designs were hand painted free hand on the cake to make it look like chalkboard painting, and represent the different scenes from the beloved tales of Winnie The Pooh. 

Winnie the Pooh Cake

Winnie the Pooh is truly one of my most beloved stories. To me there truly is no other better example of unconditional and sweet friendship than Pooh and his friends. Eyore, Piglet, Rabbit, Tigger, Pooh, and Christopher Robin, are truly some of the best characters ever created.

I was so excited to make this cake for a regular client. She gave me free reign with whatever design I wanted so long as it was Winnie the Pooh. I sketched out the picture to get an idea of what I wanted, and then decorated the cake, making the figures last.

The cake was lemon with lemon curd filling and lemon meringue.
