Minion Cake

This cake makes me laugh and smile at the same time. The cake was all chocolate with nutella buttercream filling and frosting. Everything is covered in fondant and everything is edible. My husband crafted the base so that Bob, the Minion, would not go falling over! I wanted to capture the scene from the movie, where Bob is walking towards the pool in nothing but a towel and a red thong. Doesn't he have the cutest butt cheeks? lol

How to Train Your Dragon Cake

This cake I made for a friend’s little boy who was turning four and wanted to have a cake themed after Hookfang from the How to Train Your Dragon movie.
I’m not very skilled at making cakes that are 3D, but this was for a friend so I relented. :)
The face gave me fits because the rice krispies weren't quite sticky enough and I made his lower jaw too heavy so the face started to sag and crack. I had to completely redo his face and neck and I"m glad I did because it came out soooo much better.
The cake was marble with vanilla buttercream frosting. I airbrushed his body with a mixture of reds and yellows.

Dr. Suess Cake

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. The classic tails of Dr. Seuss come to life in this cake that I both hand painted and cut out by hand. I was very happy with the end result. Bottom tier was marble, middle tier was lemon, and the top tier was a double barrel red velvet with cream cheese filling.
